“Tourism is extremely important to the economy of Galloway and West Dumfries and so it is vital that as the MSP for the area I am always meeting with representatives from the industry to understand the opportunities and challenges for the future.
“There are some fantastic initiatives taking place across the region, including the South West Coastal 300, a stunning drive of just over 300 Miles launched by Visit South West Scotland. This circular route explores the huge diversity of scenery and natural beauty on display along the quiet roads of Dumfries & Galloway.
“I look forward to continuing to work with the fantastic local businesses and initiatives in the region to boost tourism numbers and shout loud about the wealth of sights, attractions, restaurants and accommodation to enjoy in Galloway & West Dumfries.”
