Local MSP Visits Dalbeattie Learning Campus

Galloway and West Dumfries MSP, Finlay Carson has visited the new Dalbeattie Leaning Campus.

 

The new learning campus, which opened its doors to over 800 students on 1st November 2017, brings together Dalbeattie High School and Dalbeattie Primary School and Nursery onto one shared sight.

Construction on the new campus began in March 2016 and it is expected that the old school will be demolished in early 2018.

The Campus, which provides students with state of the art sports and educational facilities, has been praised by locals.

Commenting, Dumfries and Galloway MSP Finlay Carson said:

“I was delighted to visit Dalbeattie Learning Campus to meet with staff and pupils as they settle in to their new surroundings.

“Following a successful transfer of pupils to the Campus, I am looking forward to seeing what the New Year brings for students.

“The new Campus provides students with state of the art facilities in education, the arts and sports."
